Privacy Policy
DeepBeat.ai (“DeepBeat”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the website at deepbeat.ai and the localization platform offered through it (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information. Name, work email, company, billing address, country, and the password hash for your DeepBeat account.
- Content you submit. Audio, video, images, text, prompts, voice samples, and any other files you upload or generate while using the Service.
- Payment information. Payment is processed by our payment partner (Razorpay) and we do not store your full card details on our servers. We retain transaction IDs, last four digits, billing country, and tax-related identifiers required for invoicing.
- Usage and device data. IP address, approximate location, browser type, device identifiers, referrer URL, pages viewed, and timestamps.
- Cookies and similar technologies. Strictly-necessary cookies for authentication and session security, and analytics cookies you can opt out of from the cookie banner.
- Communications. Messages you send to support, sales, or via our forms, and the metadata of those messages.
2. How we use information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Service, including running model inference on the content you submit.
- To create and secure your account, authenticate sessions, and prevent fraud or abuse.
- To process payments, issue invoices, and meet tax and accounting requirements.
- To respond to support requests and to send service announcements and, where permitted, marketing communications you can unsubscribe from.
- To comply with legal obligations and to protect our rights, customers, and the public.
3. Lawful bases for processing
Where the EU/UK GDPR or India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 applies, we rely on the following lawful bases: performance of the contract with you, your consent (which you can withdraw at any time), compliance with a legal obligation, and our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service.
4. Sharing of information
We share information only with:
- Cloud and infrastructure subprocessors (e.g., compute, storage, CDN) under confidentiality and security obligations.
- Payment processors such as Razorpay to take payments and remit refunds.
- Analytics and support tools that help us operate the Service.
- Authorities or third parties when required by law, court order, or to protect rights and safety.
- Acquirers in the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to equivalent privacy commitments.
We do not sell personal data.
5. International transfers
DeepBeat is operated from India and serves customers globally. Your data may be processed in India, the United States, the European Union, and other jurisdictions where our subprocessors operate. Where required, we use Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent transfer mechanisms.
6. Data retention
We retain account information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations. Content you upload is retained per the storage tier of your plan and is deleted on request, subject to backup-rotation timelines of up to 30 days.
7. Security
We use TLS in transit, encryption at rest for stored content, role-based access controls, audit logging, and routine vulnerability management. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure; we encourage you to use a strong, unique password and to enable multi-factor authentication where available.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal data, and you may object to or restrict certain processing. EU/UK residents have the right to lodge a complaint with their supervisory authority. India residents may exercise rights under the DPDP Act through the contact below. We will respond within the period required by law, and in any event within 30 days.
9. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on this page and, where appropriate, by email. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
